Henry Phillips Barn Restoration
In 1998, the Mercer County Park Commission appointed the Friends as managers of a 5 year project to restore the 19th century barn, listed on New Jersey State and National Registers of Historic Places.
The Corn Maze
The Friends host an annual corn field maze as the primary funding source for the Henry Phillips Barn Restoration Project. Nearly $125,000 was raised during the first five seasons.
Documentation of Farming Practices
The New Jersey Historical Commission grants awarded to the Friends have funded oral histories of the farm's 25 horsedrawn field operations and will support related work in collections management and educational programming.
