Our Barn's a New Yorker

The Cromwell's continued to expand in the 1904s and made the final addition to the barn.  Section D was two bays of an older barn frame.  This was apparently from a barn that had been moved to the farm and then moved again to enlarge the main barn.  Because it was narrower than section B, the shed E was built to increase the width.  It was after this final addition that a concrete floor was put in the entire barn and the barn was "modernized" to accomodate the herd.  The dotted outline attached to the horse barn indicates the location of a milking parlor added during a period when the farm had a dairy goat herd.
