By May 21 the frame was nearing completion with the exception of the purlin and rafter system.  This photo shows the six bents connected by girts and plates and srengthened with braces.  Many of the studs on the exterior walls are in place.  The studs provide nailing points for the siding that will be applied.

By May 28 the queen post struts and purlins were in place to support the roof rafters.

The purlins can be clearly seen as the top horizontal timbers.

By June 5 the rafters were in place.  A ladder can be seen supported by the purlins.

The nearly completed frame is seen in position as an addition to the Visitor Center.

By July 29 the frame is complete and work on the roof has begun.
