In this drawing of the Z wall of the Charles Fish Barn the five bays between the bents are clearly visible.  The girts and braces connecting and strengthening the bents as well as the studs for nailing the horizontal siding are also visible.  The smaller doors in the two left bays give access to the stables.  The large center door allows wagons to enter the threshing floor and the smaller door to the right gives humans access to the threshing floor when the large doors are shut.

Drawings of the floorplan and several of the bents are on other pages.
