The flock of mixed breed ewes provides the farm with wool and lambs. The wool is spun and sold to visitors. Lambs are sent to market. Earlier Pleasant Valley farmers raised Suffolks and other breeds of sheep, primarily for market.

In this photo, visitors help move the sheep from their barn and yard to the Round Pasture.
