Blaze is our oldest horse and will be 28 in May 2006.  He has been at Howell Farm since February 1985.  Blaze has been an outstanding workhorse during his many years at the farm and has proven to be both gentle and reliable.  He also has a real sense of humor and is renowned by those who have worked with him for his antics.  Blaze may have some old-style Morgan horse in his ancestry as well as other work breeds.  He enjoys his stall at the western end of the barn where he has a window that he can use to see what is going on or to pose for photos with visitors.

In the photo above, Blaze is letting us know that he would like to get back to his stall after spending some time in the barnyard.   Below, he is outfitted with his harness and ready for work.
